Dalaman is located between the
sea and mountains and benefits from its proximity to
many areas of interest including historical
interests. (e.g. Dalyan mud baths, ancient tombs
etc). Dalaman is rapidly becoming an area of
destination rather than just a stop over on the way
to some other resort town. Recent investments to the
Airport, roads and the continuous development of the
area is making it more accessiable. Over -
development and exploitation of the area is stopped
by the protection afforded to the rare loggerhead
turtles which frequent the river and beach. This
should ensure that Dalaman continues to develop in
harmony with its surrounding environment and retain
its natural beauty.
Dalaman is the second airport for
the Turkish Riviera where Marmaris and Fethiye are
the main tourist resorts. The weather is warm here
until well into the autumn. There are possibilities
for all kinds of water sports and excursions in the
surrounding areas. There are also plenty of shops,
cafes, bars and restaurants.

Dalaman is now rapidly becoming an investment area
for many Euporeans purchasing property for an
investment here in Turkey. This seems due to many
factors including the town being designated a main
touristic area from now on: plans for a new marina
and a golf course are underway.
