Çalis is situated in Southwestern Turkey in the region of Fethiye, just 40 minute drive from Dalaman airport. This small beach resort is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet place to holiday or for a long break. Çalis Beach is 5 km from the district centre, and opposite the Sovalye Island. Along the 4 km long stretch of beach, there are hotels, boarding-houses, campsites, restaurants and bars. Although nightlife here is fairly low-key, there is a good selection of cocktail bars and a couple of discos. The beach is well known as one of the incubation areas for Sea Turtles, (Caretta Carettas). There are many watersports to choose from (incl) Water ski-ing, Kitesurfing and Windsurfing.
