This harbour town with the ancient name of Telmessos
is populated by 50.000 people. It is surrounded by
turquoise coloured seas with a beautiful mountanious
backdrop. Dry, long, hot summers and short,warm,
rainy winters are climatic characteristics of
Fethiye. The temperature which is around 86-105F
(30-40 C) during the summertime, is usually above
50F (10 C ) in the wintertime. So you can
comfortably swim in these turquoise coloured waters
for nine months of the year!
The town itself has everything from a rich and
varied holiday to a great living experience. A
wealth of historical and cultural sights; Pinara,
Patara, Xanthos, and Tlos to name but a few. Places
of naturel beauty are also close to hand with the
river Gorce at Saklikent. The famous beach Oludeniz
and then great shopping and dining out, every kind
of water sports imaginable and the best paragliding
in Turkey. Meanwhile; Tuesday, there is a weekly
bazaar, the largest in the area for buying fresh
vegetables and fruits from the villagers, also
finding every type of clothing
  
The closest airport to Fethiye is
Dalaman, the journey takes less than an hour. It is
possible to fly via charter flights between April
and October.Alternativley there is Antalya airport
which is a 3 hour drive.
The Council Office, Courts, Tax Office, Water,
Electricity & Telekom Offices, along with all the
major Banks and ATM machines are based in Fethiye.
There are also many supermarkets, furniture shops, a
fresh fish market, cafes, restaurants and bars to
sample. The local people are very friendly and
hospitable, the climate and the low cost of living
attracts many British owners to this area. With all
these features Fethiye is one of the best
destinations to buy a property or for investment.

In a public survey about ‘The
most beautiful beach in the World’ A German
newspaper ‘The Bild’ started on the internet.
Ölüdeniz Beach is Competing against the other eleven
paradise beaches in the world. On the official web
site of the Bild newspaper, where 12 beaches compete
with each other Oludeniz has taken 89.1% of the
votes and is the dominant leader so far. The Bild,
being Germany’s highest circulation newspaper, has
started a pool on the web site among it’s readers in
order to determine the most beautiful beach on the
World. Among the world famous beaches such as ‘La
Digue’ of Seychellen, the ‘Fishermen Island’ in the
Maldives, Copacabana of Rio de Janeiro, and the
‘Botton Bay’ of Barbados. From Turkey, Oludeniz
Beach of Fethiye is participated as one of the
competitors.
Explore the Blue Lagoon ( Ölüdeniz ) where the calm
crystal water is ideal for swimming and other water
sports. Blue Lagoon is located near the famous
touristic resort of Fethiye, Belcekiz Beach and
protectedas one of the naturel parks of Turkey.It is
located at a distance of 15kms from the town. The
main beach is borded by an attractive promenade
lined with small shops, cafes and restaurants. This
colourful holiday resort with lush gardens, simple
campsites and pensions provide a large and varied

dominates the area, after a half hour drive to the
summit, tourists have the opportunity of paragliding
